Will the same pet sitter visit everyday?
For daily service customers two pet specialist will normally alternate however your pet will never meet a pet specialist he/she has never met before without his normal care taker. For occasional customers, we will try our best to send the same person but cannot guarantee their availability. [back to top]

Once I am a client how much notice do I need to make an appointment?
If you are a daily client we work out a schedule for you on the initial visit. If you need to schedule an appointment for a day that's out of your schedule please give us at least 5 day notice so we can schedule you in. [back to top]


What if my property is damaged?
We are only liable for damage from negligence or willfully misconduct. Due to the unpredictability of animals, we cannot accept responsibility for unusual mishaps (ex. furniture damage). We suggest that you pet proof your home in your absence. [back to top]


Who are your pet sitters?
Our pet sitters are passionate animal lovers who have been thoroughly screen prior to employment and gone through a background check including verifiable references and past employment history. They have experience working with animals as vet technicians, shelter volunteers, etc. They are also trained on pet first aid and special pet sitting procedures. [back to top]

Do you offer boarding?
No. However, we offer overnight care for your pets at your home so that they are in their natural environment versus the stresses usually experienced during boarding. For more information visit our services page. [back to top]


Do you give medications to pets?
Yes. There is a small fee associated with pets that need medications. For more information visit our services page. [back to top]


How do I know my keys are safe?
No identifying marks on put on your keys, neither name or address. We keep a lot of our clients keys in a key lockbox. [back to top]


What makes you unique from other pet care providers?
Each client and pet is given personal attention and we never overbook. We make schedules and make plans to tailor to the care of your individual pet versus a generic care plan. [back to top]

What area do you service?
We service Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Key Biscyane, Brickell and Southeast Downtown. We travel outside our service area for a small fee, contact us for a quote. [back to top]


Are you licensed, bonded, insured?
Yes, We are licensed with Miami-Dade County, we have liability insurance from "Pet Sitters Associates, LLC" and special property of others coverage from the same company (which is the same, if not better, than being bonded). [back to top]


How much notice for cancellation do you need?
We require a minimum of 24 hour confirmed cancellation. Cancellation must be received by email or phone and be confirmed by us. We need at least 7 day notice for Holiday cancellations. [back to top]


Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes, we need a signed agreement that you agree to let us into your home to care for your animals as well as that you are aware of and agree to our policies/procedures. [back to top]


How am I billed?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and you are billed on the Wednesday prior to your week of service. We keep a credit card on file, but can also accept check as payment for following week of service. For occasional customers we bill according to the date services will be rendered. [back to top]

Will my pets receive individual attention?
Yes. Most of our services are one-on-one unless you have multiple pets and/or subscribe to our dog park services in which case we never have groups larger than 4. Sometimes we will walk multiple dogs from the same building but these groups are usually 2-3 and gives your dog some good social interactions as well as playtime. [back to top]


What if I need emergency pet care service?
We will try to accommodate you as best as possible, but cannot guarantee on very short notice that we can provide service. [back to top]

Why do you require a consultation?
The consultation will help you become familiar with our services and most importantly introduce our pet sitter to your pet. We gather important information about your home and pet(s), pick up a copy of your key, go through all the necessary documents and we can personally address all your questions. My pet can sometimes become aggressive can we still use your service?
This depends on the pet. If your pet and our pet sitter get a long then yes. However, if your dog becomes protective of your home while you are away or is aggressive towards our sitters we cannot render services. [back to top]


How do I drop off house keys?
We prefer to keep a copy of your house key however you can either leave your keys with your doorman if available or we can pick up/drop off your keys for a fee. [back to top]

What are your business hours?
Our office hours are Monday thru Saturday 9:00am to 7:00pm. You can contact us via phone during these hours or anytime via email. We do offer morning, evening & weekend services for a fee, visit our services page. [back to top]


What happens if you have not yet worked with my type of pet?
Our pet sitters are trained on various breeds/species however if we are unfamiliar with care for your particular pet we would ask you to take the time to train us on the specific needs and nuances of caring for your pet. [back to top]


Who are your clients?
Our clients are busy professionals mostly our clients work in Finance, Law, Real Estate, Technology, Advertising, Fashion, consulting or are small business owners. We also have clients that travel a lot for business or leisure, are senior or busy families. [back to top]


How will I know how my pets are doing when I am gone?
If you have requested vacation care we will email you a brief update on your pet. If you are a daily service client we leave notes with any comments on the days activity. [back to top]


What if the pet sitter has a personal injury or emergency while taking care of my pet(s)?
We will get in touch with the emergency contact you provided as well as yourself to make sure the pet is taken care of. [back to top]


What happens if my travel plans change?
If your trip is overextended for whatever reason contact us as soon as possible so we can try to accommodate extra care time. [back to top]


What times do you typically visit a home?
We try to stick to a routine for your pet. For daily clients at the initial consultation we will work out a time slot for your weekly schedule and strongly adhere to it. Generally we visit homes within business hours, if you have a specific time in mind please let us know during the consultation and we will try our best to accomadate. [back to top]
