Born and raised in Miami, Kris Fonte went to Florida State University before coming back to his home town and graduating with a Bachelors Degree in English from Florida International University. Soon after, he started a brick paver company then went on to work with prominent general contractor as a project manager.
Anai Gonzalez, who was also born and raised in Miami, is quite the entrepreneur herself. Aside from finishing up her degree at Miami-Dade College, Anai has also had her own business in web designing. She has worked for a major research and marketing firm, and has also worked in the restaurant industry.
Both Kris and Anai now live together in Coconut Grove, and decided to leave their current career paths to take on something they both love, animals. Starting with a leash and the dog next door, Kris and Anai wanted to serve their community in a way that no one else has. Their love of animals, and entrepreneurial instincts allowed them to come up with the idea of “Grove Pet Service.” Now, walking dogs from Coconut Grove to Midtown, Kris and Anai have found happiness in work that their previous careers couldn’t fulfill.
